What is piratical horror you might ask?
Pirate horror is where the salty swagger of piracy crashes into the shrieking terrors of the supernatural. Think cursed gold that bites back, skeletons manning ghost ships, and sea monsters with a taste for rum and sailors alike.
Incase you missed it. Yesterday we launched our first ever Kickstarter called DarkLit Sails, a pirate horror series of novels and novellas by some incredibly talented underrepresented and marginalized authors.
We funded the project within 12 hours of launch and have reached our first stretch goal! Nervous, anxious, excited… So many feelings to process but more than anything, we are incredibly grateful for our readers and the horror community for all of your support.
One thing we noticed that stood out the most with readers was the cover art by Val Halvorson. Their stunning illustrations bring this project to life and we can’t wait to show it off here, with all of you.

I would love to contribute to the Kickstarter but I can only use PayPal atm and it won't allow it. So I will help out soon. I love pirates and horror! What a great combo!
SO SO SO excited for this! I love the way you've set this up with the reward tiers!
